Role Description / Summary

The Electrical Staff Engineer provides engineering design solutions on a variety of assigned projects using standard software and/or electrical engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.   Work may include development or improvement of new or existing designs.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develops engineering design solutions for new or existing products of a board scope using the full scope of engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Thoroughly conducts research necessary to specific design problems.
  • Produces work of high quality workmanship and product/process development.
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers
  • Demonstrates products to customers and participates in customer meetings or conference calls as requested.
  • Creates cost-effective design solutions ensuring manufacturability of designs, quality, and in support of good business fundamentals.
  • Follows established procedures, makes recommendations for process/procedure improvements.
  • Works with appropriate staff within company to develop solutions to emerging customer needs
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
  • 3-10 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Ability to use the full scope and application of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in assessing manufacturability of designs.
  • Ability to assess product/process definition and design philosophy to ensure decisions are cost effective.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent phone, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required

Operations Details

This is a full-time position.  Work schedule is 40 + hours per week.


Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
